2027 DPNA Representative Coach & Manager EOI Information and registration

Thank you for your interest in being part of the DPNA 2027 Representative Program.

We want all prospective Coaches to have a clear understanding of the role, commitment and expectations before progressing through the recruitment process, detailed below. *** We also encourage you to read through the "DPNA REP PROGRAMS FOR 2027" information also outlined below, noting that there have been some changes from the 2026 programs.***

COACH RECRUITMENT PROCESS
The 2027 Coach recruitment process will be:

1. Submit an Expression of Interest
Coaches submit an Expression of Interest outlining their interest in coaching with DPNA in 2027.

2. Review the Information Booklet
DPNA will provide all EOI applicants with the 2027 Representative Coach Information Booklet, which outlines the Representative Program, coaching commitments, expectations, remuneration, key dates and other important information. Coaches should carefully review the booklet and all relevant dates before deciding whether to proceed.

3. Confirm Your Interest
Following an opportunity to review the booklet, DPNA will contact all EOI applicants to confirm that they wish to proceed with a formal application for a coaching position.

4. Interview
Coaches who wish to proceed will be invited to an interview via Microsoft Teams. Interviews will provide an opportunity to discuss the coaching role, experience, strengths and areas for development, coaching philosophy, preferred age groups/teams, availability and any other relevant matters.

5. Appointment
Following the interview process, DPNA will appoint Coaches to the 2027 Representative Program and notify applicants of the outcome.

IMPORTANT COACHING REQUIREMENTS
Before submitting an EOI, Coaches should be aware of the following requirements:

* All Coaches are required to complete the Netball Australia Select for Netball Success course and be familiar with the Netball Australia Skill Development Framework.
* Coaches appointed to SSA teams are required to stay with their team in Toowoomba for the duration of SSA, from Friday 2 April to Tuesday 6 April 2027.
* Coaches appointed to the DPNA Representative Program may not coach a Representative team for another association during the 2027 season. This does not include coaching roles within Hart Premier League licence programs.

--- PREP-FOR-REP PROGRAM (11yrs) ---
Trial Date: Tuesday 20 April 2027 | 5:30pm-7:00pm.

Training: Tuesday nights at DPNA, from 27 April to 1 June 2026 | 5:30pm - 7:00pm (Shooters at 5:00pm)

Carnivals: Teams will attend two representative carnivals including the DPNA Junior Representative Carnival.

13 Years - Arrival Time: 7:30am / Trial Time: 8:00-10:00am
12 Years - Arrival Time: 11:30am / Trial Time: 12:00-2:00pm
14 Years - Arrival Time: 3:30pm / Trial Time: 4:00-6:00pm

Trial #2: Sunday 15 November 2026
13 Years - Arrival Time: 7:30am / Trial Time: 8:00-10:00am
12 Years - Arrival Time: 11:30am / Trial Time: 12:00-2:00pm
14 Years - Arrival Time: 3:30pm / Trial Time: 4:00-6:00pm

Trial #3: Sunday 22 November 2026 (call-back trial)
13 Years - Arrival Time: 7:30am / Trial Time: 8:00-10:00am
12 Years - Arrival Time: 11:30am / Trial Time: 12:00-2:00pm
14 Years - Arrival Time: 3:30pm / Trial Time: 4:00-6:00pm

All trials will be held at the DPNA courts.

Strength & Conditioning: Tuesday 2 February 2027, 5:30-7:00pm for 4 weeks

Skill Development Sessions: Tuesday 2 March 2027, 5:30-7:00pm for 4 weeks

Team Training: Commences Tuesday 13 April 2027, 5:30-7:30pm (Shooting Session, 5:00-5:30pm)

Lead up Carnivals: All teams will participate in at least three lead-up carnivals between February and June. Two of these will be the DPNA Junior Representative Carnivals: #1 - Sat 27th Feb (Twilight), #2 - Sun 13th June (Day). Other carnival dates will be confirmed once participating associations release their 2027 calendars.

State Age: Sunshine Coast Netball Association, 3-6 July 2027
Tigers Cup: Awaiting final event details.
DPNA will not be arranging travel or accommodation for JSA or Tigers Cup. Players and officials will be responsible for their own travel and/or accommodation arrangements.


--- SENIOR STATE AGE (15s, 16s & 18s) ---
Trial #1: Saturday 10 October 2026
Trial #2: Sunday 11 October 2026

Each age group will trial at a designated time. Please ensure you note the correct arrival time for your age group below.

15 Years - Arrival Time: 7:30am / Trial Time: 8:00-10:00am / Selectors Conference 10:00-11:30am
16 Years - Arrival Time: 11:30am / Trial Time: 12:00-2:00pm / Selectors Conference 2:00-3:30pm
18 Years - Arrival Time: 3:30pm / Trial Time: 4:00-6:00pm / Selectors Conference 6:00-7:30pm

All trials will be held at the DPNA courts.

Skill Development Sessions: Wednesday 21 October 2026, 6:00-7:30pm for 5 weeks. Please note: Sessions are compulsory for the 2027 SSA Program and will form part of finalising teams.

Team Training: SSA Training will be attended on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings.
- Tuesday's 6-8pm commencing 02 February 2027
- Saturday's 8-10am commencing 30 January 2027 for a total of 6 weeks (excluding the week of the DPNA SSA Carnival; Date TBC).

Lead up Carnivals: All teams will participate in at least three lead-up carnivals throughout February and March. One of these will be the DPNA Senior Representative Carnival. All carnival dates will be confirmed once participating associations release their 2027 calendars.

State Age: The Senior State Age Championships will be held at Toowoomba Netball Association from Saturday 03 April to Tuesday 06 April 2027. All selected teams will travel and stay together as part of the Association's representative program.


--- GBNL (16s, 18s, 23s & Opens) ---
Trial #1: Monday 25 January 2027, 5:30-9:00pm
Trial #2 Monday 1 February 2027, 5:30-9:00pm
Trial times to be determined by no. triallists per age group

Strength & Conditioning: Friday 12 February 2027, 6:30-8:00pm for 4 weeks.

Training: Commences Monday 8 February 2027, 7:00-9:00pm (2 hour training session, times can be negotiated with DPNA).

GBNL Grading (23s & Opens): Thursday 11 & 18 March 2027.
GBNL Grading (16s & 18s): Friday 12 & 19 March 2027.
GBNL Fixtures (23s & Opens): Commence Thursday 15 April 2027.
GBNL Fixtures (16s & 18s): Commence Friday 16 April 2027.
