DPNA Senior Rep (15-18)

The 2027 Senior Representative Trials are for players turning 15 to 18 years (born 2012-2009) in 2027 who wish to trial for DPNA's Senior State Age teams.

SENIOR STATE AGE
The Senior State Age Championships will be held at Toowoomba Netball Association from Saturday 03 April to Tuesday 06 April 2027. All selected teams will be required to travel and stay together as part of the Association's representative program.

LEAD-UP CARNIVALS
All teams will participate in at least three lead-up carnivals throughout February and March. One of these will be the DPNA Senior Representative Carnival. All carnival dates will be confirmed once participating associations release their 2027 calendars.

TRIALS
Trial #1: Saturday 10 October 2026
Trial #2: Sunday 11 October 2026

Each age group will trial at a designated time. Please ensure you note the correct arrival time for your age group below.

15 Years - Arrival Time: 7:30am / Trial Time: 8:00-10:00am
16 Years - Arrival Time: 11:30am / Trial Time: 12:00-2:00pm
18 Years - Arrival Time: 3:30pm / Trial Time: 4:00-6:00pm

All trials will be held at the DPNA courts.

Attendance at both trials is compulsory. Players who do not attend either session without explanation will be deemed ineligible for selection. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. If a player is unable to attend due to illness or injury, they must notify DPNA by emailing coaching@downeypark.com.au. In such cases, a medical certificate and/or a return-to-play plan must be submitted in order to remain eligible.

PREFERRED TRIAL POSITIONS
Players must nominate two preferred positions. However, selectors reserve the right to trial or select players in alternate positions based on team needs and player versatility.

$20 per player

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTS
Provisional Teams will be announced via email on Friday 16 October 2026.
Following Skill Development Sessions, Final Teams will be announced on Friday 20th November 2026.
Please note there may still be player movement until after the second lead-up representative carnival.

GIRLS TEAM SELECTION
Two teams (Red & Green) and up to 3 Training Partners will be selected per age group. Training partners, identified as having strong development potential, will be the first considered for promotion into the official teams if a selected player is unable to participate. Please note: The potential for third team (White) may be appointed for a selected age group as deemed appropriate by DPNA.

BOYS TEAM SELECTION
Due to financial constraints and travel limitations, DPNA will not be entering a boys' team into SSA.

STATE AGE PLAYER FEES
TBC. For reference, 2026 player fees were $1990 (Red & Green - included flight cost), $440 (White) and $265 (Training Partner).

SKILL DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS
As part of our 2027 SSA Program, Skill Development Sessions provide an introduction to the Representative Season. Please note that attendance at these Skill Development Sessions is compulsory for all selected players.
When: Wednesday nights, 6:00 - 7:30pm
Commencing: Wednesday, 21 October 2026
Duration: 5 weeks

TRAINING
SSA Training will be attended on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings.
Tuesday's 6-8pm commencing 02 February
Saturday's 8-10am commencing 30 January for a total of 6 weeks (excluding the week of the DPNA SSA Carnival).
