Umpiring Courses & Important Dates

This workshop is recommended for all new umpires and is also a good refresher for umpires who have not umpired recently. This workshop will involve a theory session only and will outline the basic requirements for umpiring, as well as giving a brief overview of the rules.

YOU MUST DISCUSS WITH YOUR CLUB UMPIRE CONVENOR BEFORE REGISTERING.

This is open to DPNA club umpires only. Participants only need to attend ONE of the sessions on offer.

Cost: $15.00 per umpire - Clubs will be invoiced for the number of umpires attending

What to bring: Please bring along a notebook and a pen, a finger-grip whistle*, water and a hat.

What to wear: Sports-appropriate clothing and sneakers.

*Finger-grip whistles will be available for purchase on the day ($10) or can be pre-ordered in our online shop.

Note: the INF Rules Rules book can now also be downloaded as either a PDF or App (App store and Android) - just search 'rules of netball'.

For National C badged umpires looking to work towards their National B badge. This workshop will be facilitated by Jamie Matthews-Maher. Please bring notebook and pen.

This workshop is for umpires who are working towards their National C badge or are interested in doing so and would like more information about how to achieve this.The workshop will be presented by the DPNA Umpiring Subcommittee.

There will be practical and theory components so umpires will need to bring pen and paper, whistle and running shoes.
